BITKOM
BITKOM is Germany's leading association of IT, tele-communications and new media companies. BITKOM represents 1,250 enterprises, some 600 of which are direct members, including almost all of the major players in this sector, plus more than 500 small and medium-sized businesses and startups. BITKOM is the leading association of ITC companies in Europe. The association's aim is to play an active role in shaping Germany's entry into the information age and in optimizing the political and legal infrastructure for the benefit of its members. Bayerischer Verband für Sicherheit in der Wirtschaft - Bavarian Association for Security in Industry and Commerce
BVSW was founded in 1976 as a non-profit, mutual support organization. Its members are industrial and commercial companies, banks, insurance companies, public authorities and private service providers in Bavaria. The association represents its members vis-à-vis political entities and industrial umbrella organizations, and has proposed a large number of concepts for the improvement of security in trade and industry. Deutsche Gesellschaft für Qualität e.V. - German Association for Quality
DGQ, originally founded as a technical and scientific institution, has developed into a service provider and pioneer in the fields of total quality management, environmental protection management and vocational health and safety management. The association is an independent, non-profit organization financed by members' subscriptions. Its lasting success is based on the active participation of individual and corporate members in its various committees, working groups and regional bodies, and on the professional competence and commitment of its staff and external partners. EuroHandelsinstitut e.V. (EHI) - European Trade Institute
EHI is a research and educational institute founded with the aim of promoting rationalization, resource planning and innovation in the commercial sector. The EHI network numbers over 500 members throughout Europe. In its research activities, the institute seeks close contact with industrial partners. More than 600 experts from trade and commerce and the consumer and capital goods industries regularly contribute their expertise to the research effort in special working groups. EUROSMART The Voice of the Smart Card Industry
EUROSMART is an international association based in Brussels representing all segments of the European smart card industry. EUROSMART was founded with the aim of - promoting smart cards and smart card systems - standardizing smart cards and smart card systems - providing a forum for the exchange of marketing and technical data - defining a consistent range of quality and security levels - lobbying international and national bodies, e.g. by means of permanent relationships with the European institutions in Brussels. Forschungsgesellschaft Druck e.V.- Graphic Technology Research Association
FOGRA was founded with the aim of promoting research into printing technology and fostering its development and application. Research results are made available to the printing industry. The association runs its own institute with a staff of over 50, including engineers, chemists and physicists. FOGRA has a membership of more than 600. Roughly half are printing enterprises, covering the complete spectrum from pre-press to bookbinding, the other half are ancillary suppliers. 20 % of the members are based abroad. ICC Counterfeiting Intelligence Bureau (CIB)
CIB was founded in 1985 as an international support organization for industrial sectors exposed to counterfeiting. What was once a cottage industry has developed into a sophisticated network of organized crime, affecting a broad range of sectors. CIB was the first private international initiative to go beyond political lobbying and offer practical support to police and customs authorities in the prevention and combating of forgery. International Card Manufacturers Association (ICMA)
ICMA is a worldwide non-profit association of plastic card manufacturers and personalizers supported by suppliers and other industry participants. The association promotes the plastic card industry and the value of its products and services, providing an independent forum in which card-related issues can be discussed. ICMA serves the dynamic plastic card industry and the various companies and organizations involved in manufacturing and personalizing these cards. Not only card production and applications, but also production, standards, quality and card-related environmental issues are growing ever more complex. Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung (ifo) - Institute for Economic Research
The history of the ifo institute has been marked since its foundation in 1949 by the building of bridges between theory and practice, between science, economics, politics and public life. The association's name, an abbreviation of "Information" and "Forschung" – information and research – stands for its program. Industrie- und Handelskammer für München und Oberbayern (IHK) - Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria
The regional Chambers of Industry and Commerce are independent public corporations, but not government authorities. They support all branches of trade and industry in their regions, not only performing public functions but also providing members with consultancy or mediation services in many matters of local, regional or supraregional importance. They also play a role at the national and international levels via DIHK (Deutsche Industrie- und Handelskammertag, German Federation of Chambers of Industry and Commerce) and international organizations.

International Hologram Manufacturers Association (IHMA)
IHMA was founded in 1993 to represent and promote the interests of hologram manufacturers and the hologram industry worldwide. The association is a non-profit membership organization registered in the United Kingdom, liability limited by guarantee, with secretariats in Europe and North America. The IHMA is made up of sixty of the world's leading hologram producers who collaborate actively to maintain the highest professional, security and quality standards in support of their customers. Technology Asset Protection Association (TAPA-EMEA)
The TAPA-EMEA is an association of security professionals and related business partners from technology companies who have come together for the purpose of addressing the emerging security threats that are common to the high-tech industry. TeletrusT Deutschland e.V.
Teletrust Deutschland is a non-profit, politically and economically independent organization founded in 1989 for the promotion of trusted information and communication technology. The association focuses on applied cryptography and biometrics. It has 120 members with backgrounds in research, development and government as well as important application areas. Particular attention is paid to security services and their management for trusted communications in the medical sector and public health administration, electronic payments and B2B processes using electronic data interchange. Verband Deutscher Papierfabriken e.V. (VDP) - Association of German Paper Manufacturers
The Association of German Paper Manufacturers is the umbrella organization for manufacturing companies in the German pulp and paper industry. It has a membership of 101 companies operating 133 production units in Germany. VDP represents 90 per cent of production and sales in the industry. In 2000, a production volume of 18.2 million metric tons of paper and board generated revenues of DM 25 billion. In addition, 714,000 metric tons of cellulose were produced, 75 per cent of which were processed into paper or board. In this way VDP represents the biggest national paper industry in Europe.

Verband Druck und Medien Bayern e.V. (VDMB) - Bavarian Print and Media Association
Our sector is marked by new challenges resulting from constant technological change. The printing industry today provides a broad-based range of services covering all aspects of print and digital media. The principle aim of the Print and Media Association is to help our members optimize their business operations for lasting success. Virtually no topic can be considered in isolation in today's world. For this reason VDMB has joined with eleven other associations in the print and media industry as well as with the Bundesverband Druck und Medien (BVDM) – the German Print and Media Federation – to actively represent the interests of our member companies vis-à-vis government and industry at regional, national and global level.
